I have always been really keen to try and and make materials which are typically seen as ugly a key part of my designs. So when I had the chance to make a cabinet for a foyer I though this would be the perfect opportunity to do so. The main carcass of the unit is made from Eucalyptus ply which has been machined by Masters CNC. The unit is then decorated with strips of a range of woods, many of which come from pieces of wood I really couldn't do much at all with because of the length/size. The unit was then finished with Danish Oil, and had some LED strip lights installed.
