Stuart Chair Table

In a local second hand bookshop I came across one called "The Observer's Book of Furniture" by John Woodforde. While flicking through the pages at home I found myself drawn to a a combination chair-table from the Stuart Era. I used this product as a precedent to design a modern interpretation of what I found in my book. Other details I included in the project were the chequered patterns on the side of the piece which were inspired by Stuart heraldic symbols. Using this prototype I was able to successfully test the sliding features of the design.
